Hi to all Tesoro fans and other md addicts

I have an old Tejon- black one- that has once in a time been modified by detechnicks into Pro - with "auto" GB. GB pot is now one turn only, but it gb-s in allmetal perfectly. In both all metals so to say. But afer switching into disc it suddenly looses all that depth. Only after burrying a piece of metal it can be gb-ed in disc mode to reach good depth. After getting a strong signal gb pot would be set totaly towards + sign. Question is do disc and allmetal have different gb setting or there is possibility that those two modes become offset. Thanks for replies.
Kindest regards from Europe.

You're not likely to find an answer to your question without a detailed description of the modification.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

First thing, turn off your caps, please.

Second, it was modified a long time ago. This is an OLD machine as stated in the original message. He is not a native English speaker or writer. He is from Slovenia. Try to be a little more kind, mate.

Hello from USA and Bulgaria,
I am not a Tesoro owner but once I was looking at the Cibola (wanted to buy one) and I found a video on Youtube showing 3 different methods of GB and I am pretty sure that GB is different for All metal and Disc. If I find the video I'll post it here. Good luck!!!

Hello,
This is exact answer to my question, it's what i needed to know. Clapp
So i will be doing GB in the future by digging a coin first. Last time by doing this i dug a chunk of copper weighting about an ounce from depth of measured 35 cm (14 inches for non-metric ones). When GB- in allmetal as factory instructs i could hear it less than half that depth in disc mode.

Why do you mount water injection on brand new Corvetette when already it is a fast car?

Why does prety girl dye her hair when she already is beautiful?

I dont know answers to these two, but i know that with my modified tejon with 15x12 coil, 10 aa nicad mod i get in the air  45 cm on a single medium sized coin, 50 cm on my wedding ring and 140 cm on 15 cm diameter copper plate.  Wink

50 cm on a wedding ring is amazing but how about mineralized soils? How does it handle them?

Having GB set perfectly, in this configuration it handles minerals very well (better the sov. elite that i had), but where it excells it is in iron polluted ground.
