Fisher F2. White's GMZ

UPS actually came early for a change! Got the Compadre today but didn't have much time to try it out yet. I did do an air test with a 2 GRAIN piece of lead shot. Got a strong signal out to 1.5-2 inches. I know air tests dont mean much, but I hit the same size shot at about the same distance on my $499 White's GMZ (and my F2 didn't beep at all)! Very impressive so far. I was swinging in my backyard for a few seconds and hit alot of strong signals. I've already been through it with the F2 and I thought I had cleaned it out. Cant wait to test out the Compadre tomorrow at the park and find out what I missed with the F2! I'm definitely a believer in Tesoro and it looks like a Vaquero may be in my future for nugget shooting.

Thanks for the insight Scott, always like to read about other detectors and how well they work (or not).
Please keep us informed during your learning process, and don't forget to ask about the bird dog fee from your supplier if anyone purchases a MD based upon your recommendations.  HH Robroy59

More people would probably use compadres (especially as their first machine) if people weren't so wed to wanting a visual cue.  It's hard to beat a Compadre on price, reliability or performance within price range.

yep!   I love folks that dig by the numbers.

They leave me all the good stuff.

Try digging Gold by the Numbers.    LOL

All your going to do is waste gas and batteries.    Grin
