Go Up Go Down

 Hello all
Well I got the silver umax last week.Up here in the great northeast the weather really blows "snow and more snow  [down]I been doing a lot of bench testing and I must say I'm very pleased with this machine.
One day as testing I took a break for dinner,I shut the machine down and went to eat.I came back like 2 hours later to start testing again. I turned the units knob and it did not power up,I turned it to off position and turned it back to on, still nothing. Now the next thing I went for was the batteries. I put in a fresh 9v slid door shut, turned knob and it did power up  Great Just on a hunch I put the 9v that I took out earlier back in the unit and you guess it ,it powered up.I did the battery test and it gave several beep to tell me that the battery power is good to go.
I'm just wondering if the battery was not making proper contact ?
The door seems to be to be fitting properly and tight.
Has anyone else ever had this problem with their machine?
Maybe something placed between the door and battery to snug the battery into the contacts?

Steveo
I tested a silver umax for several week a few months back and never had that problem. I think if it was me I would call Tesoro and talk to a tech might be an easy fix.

Ok guys thank you
I did think of calling tesoro but I wanted to see if this was happening to someone else and if so what they did to correct it.
It only happened once and not a real big deal as of yet.
I did not say in my prior post but I did clean the contacts with alcohol before new battery, maybe that was the problem. The same thing happens to the contacts on our cordless phone, after some alcohol wipes it"s good to go.I do hope that was it.
I'm for now just going to ride it out and see if she acts up again,if so I'll call tesoro  Waveing
Thanks again guys  Great

just make sure those tabs in the battery compartment are touching the leads on the battery correctly, also some of those batteries are all not so square making one of the leads a little short of the tabs , if your careful you can see this and gently nudge as in pull the tab a hair to make contact.......carefully......... Idea
