I recently acquired both the 10x12 elliptical and the cleansweep coil for my Vaquero. Hoping the 10x12 will be more effective on the beach and the widescan everywhere else such as parks tot-lots etc. Have made one attempt at the beach so far with the 10x12, and it is very stable but still get some falsing. Have not tried out the cleansweep yet but a lot of users who post online seem to have only rave reviews for it.Detecting

It may not be your detector or your coil causing the problem. You may actually have metal there. Just not good metal. At the beach, false signals on dry sand are often caused by bits of wire from dune fencing or by the dreaded hairpin. Small tent spikes vertically embedded in the sand also can be hard to locate and appear as a false signal. I have a large, powerful magnet on my scoop that allows me to find those pesky little bits of metal. Tesoros are not known for false signals. They're just sensitive little gophers.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Thanks guys. I know that tesoro is sensitive and I keep practicing. Hopefully the new Sunray Pro Gold headphones will help distinguish the quality of tones a little.
