Just venting here.  Ordered a new Vaquero from Kellyco last Sunday.  From the UPS tracking I see that's it's been in SLC since 6:20 AM today so I'm sure it's here in town by now.

But, I can't get it until Tuesday!!!

I've gotten spoiled ordering from a dealer in Mass.  Order on Sunday & you're out digging on Friday.

Aaarrggghhhh!!!

Sorry for the rant.  Back to lurking.

Mudfoot,

I live in Oregon and over the years I've bought several detectors from Kellyco, and usually it takes about a week for me to receive them.   But I sure understand your frustration at not having the new machine in hand...  Now!

Homefire,

Go figure!  I worked for the US Postal Service for 28 years and I have never understood some of the weird delays!  Of course the USPS is the whipping boy when it comes to slow delivery, but some of it was justified!   I've had the same problem when items (say "detectors") ship by UPS (Big Brown) and other shippers, too.

My final conclusion:  there ain't no such thing as a perfect delivery service!!

Fed X topped the cake here one time.

I paid for a Next day on a check I had comming from some work.

They put a note in my mail box stating I would have to pick it up as they couldn't find my house.  LOL!

I had to drive 100 miles each way to El Paso air port to pick it up. Sad

Checked on my Vaq again this morning.

Looks like it stayed in SLC for 18 hours before leaving.

They must have rested the ponies.

I guess Homefire and I can both share your frustration at not receiving your Vaquero before the long weekend, Mudfoot!  You will have to get out the old detector (if you still have one) and vent your frustration with finding something great!

Have a great weekend!  Detecting

Let us all honor those service people who have given the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom and protection of our great country.  Clapp
