this is a theory that i pondered the last time at the beach.........the silver umax is a great machine , extremely sensitive even to tiny flakes of aluminum off disintegrating cans in the sand......now mind you i`m using the stock concentric 8'' coil & no mods here just sensitivity on 9 to 10 and discrimination below iron, so here the theory, if it capable of detecting tiny aluminum flakes say 3 to 4'' or so down.....what about a set up with the 4'' sniper coil to detect gold flakes and nuggets? the idea i would like to try or if anybody else has is to get some real gold flake & a 4'' coil to see just how the silver does, i think the results will be surprising even though the unit is specifically designed for gold , i think its worth a shot....... Cool

  Hello gizmo
If one is into looking for gold then then this might be something to think about.
I would like to see how this little machine would react to gold flakes and nuggets with the snipper coil.
Go man go...  Great
