Stilldiggin, Went to Clearwater Beach last weekend. Water was about 62 degrees, Made a day of it but didn't find anything but a few clad and some hairpins. Very unusual but I guess it is because that beach is so well hunted and because the water has been too cold for anyone to swin. There were probably 800 people on the beach but only me and five or six others in the water.

One thing I found out, If you put a supermagnet on the lip of your sand scoop it picks up those pesky hairpins the first scoop and saves you time. Have a good hunt. gambol

Have to try the magnet. My pi detector just loves hair pins. Seems like the hairpin use is up too!

Nothing like my PI at the coast but man is it a pain in the butt up here in land, it detects any thing and everything that has the smallest bit of metal in it, so no more PI till I'm back at the coast LOL
