as of today the tesoro silver umax is within a few bucks of paying for itself, by finding a 10k diamond ring, the ability for this machine to find gold is real and with a solid positive hit. so far this detector is a winner for price, simplicity and the ability to use in salt water without throughing a tantrum the silver umax is a very wise investment, and as of last night kellyco is now selling tesoro , for obvious good reasons.......... Cool

I have heard that tesoro was going to up the price on their machines and start dealing with the big box stores.I got the skinny from a local dealer.
To some this is not a bad thing, but I perfer to support my local m.d dealers verses the big box stores "that's just my opinion"
Anyway the price increase was to start March 1st and I just came in under the wire and ordered my silver umax this saturday.I got it tuesday and started bench testing it.From what I'm seeing I think this is going to be a mighty fine maching for coin shooting.I still have a lot of learning to do with my machine, but in time I think were going to be good buds.
I think the price increase is only like another 20 bucks,at least from my local dealer.
Hey 20 bucks is 20 bucks, even though I would of paid the extra 20 for this fine machine, but I'm glad I didn't   Wink

price increase yes, due to inflation & gas price increases, everything will be affected, as far as big box stores that would mean a lot more production for tesoro and since its a family owned & run company that would mean help, help means outsourcing to where ? , china of course.........and that would mean an end to a lifetime warranty , somehow i don`t see it happening. if you want to stay on top as a leader in a industry and are serious about your customer base you stick with a winning formula , to see walmart swamped with tesoro machines is highly unlikely, but who knows these days anything is possible.............
