My modded Cibola is basically the same as the V but the trigger mount, all metal switch is pretty handy, as well as the 10 turn GB pot.
Been shopping for the 5.75 coil and maybe a big DD>
My preferred method of operation:
I set my GB, then peg the threshold and bring up the sens til it starts to chatter then back off a hair.
By not pegging the thresh, you can get more audio dynamics but lose depth.
Run the disc just under iron and go at it.
When you get a hit, crank up the disc as you sweep, note where the signal breaks up, then switch to all metal with a slight hum with coil in air then "look" at it in all metal and you can tell how deep or large or dense the target is.
Rings and pulltabs can be "seen" by cranking disc to just before break up, then sweep REALLY slow and listen for chopped signal.
