I located this little gem while doing a bit of on-line purchasing. I have bought from these guys before. Low prices and free shipping worldwide! You just can't beat that!

Here is an LCR meter. For those working on coils, it measures Inductance, Capacitance and Resistance only. Not voltage. It's made that way on purpose. Look closely at the ranges on it. Incredible! And the price is only $22.21!

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Carpin, that may be is cheap in Netherlands, but many hobbists use their personal computers as oscilloscope and as signal generator at VLF designs because a real instrument is too expensive.

Goldnboy, start with a very cheap but very powerful tool. In this thread (posting #2) you will find an impedance meter suitable not only for beginners.

HI ALL Can you tell me if a multi funtion Digital multi meter that has capcitance & MH capability would be acurate enough for coil building The digitech meter I have has induction funtion ranging from 20mH [10uh resolution] 200mH [100uh res], 2H&20H..
ITS a 3.5 digit readout..
It has frequency 2hz,20khz,200khz & 2000khz ,20mhz..
capacitance= 2nf resolution of1pf,20nf,res of10pf,2uf,res of1nf,,200nf,res of100nf..
This also has all the usual Ohms,DC AC voltage etc etc ..

I did not want to spen more money if possible in a dedicated Inductance meter Huh??

CHEERS TO ALL,,, BARRY..
