I know this is an old subject, but for anyone who doesn't know - the 3 Utah men were all found on at/or near yellow mountain. (way off course from where they were supposed to be going). A fellow by the name of Rick Gwynn found their bodies one day while doing his own hunting.

Something to note, 1 man did go to the area before - but he never got lost - the article is incorrect. He went in and it got to dark for him to continue the hike, so he made a camp, and hiked out the next day. The officials found him already coming out to the trailhead, and he was fine.
