I use thermal gloves in the winter.  I learned the hard way hunting Civil War relics.  Had just uncovered a nice grapeshot and had decided to put my hand back in the hole to see if there was anything I had missed.  Ouch!  I cut my hand on a #$%$^ piece of glass!  Always wear gloves when digging.  Believe me it will save you a lot of money for bandaids and tetanus shots.

yes Steve its unfortunate but we all seem to learn the hard way...Smiley...I must have 50 stiches total in my 2 hands...but I'm much smarter now...hehehe
