Digging tools can be made out of all kinds of home and garden tools.  my advise is to keep your eyes open at yard sales and flea markets.  It's amazing what you can find to help with metal detecting if you look at items with that in mind.

 Grin great advise tool~and if it breaks(what u bought) you're only out a buck or two.
who knows even~i broke the last 3-4" off a 2 dollar flea market machete~never worked better since! Grin
