We found a few sites by looking for spring flowers in the middle of nowhere. Also any place with privet hedge is probably a home site. A spring box will have a site close by. Ditto on the fruit trees or any stacked rocks. A clue that I read of is that most caches are buried where they could be seen from the kitchen window. Another is that at churchs most drops are from pulling keys out of pockets, which is usually way before the parking area.
