Tyler do not put all your time and effort into one spot for this jar,,Do it from time to time ,,Like cornilius said you are young,,So just enjoy this great hobby ,,Seek out diffrent place's and reaseach your town,,Spend some time in the winter at the libray ,,But of course I do not mean give up on the jar ,,,,one day you might find it and we all hope you do!!!  Just don't burn yourself up looking for 1 Treasure,,There are more

Try dowing rods i know a lot of people who swear by them, also most old timers beried under fience post , flower beds, down the old well, or in the barn,  magicsmc

i would seach there anyway  i seach my yard alot and still get surprised  see if you can find an old picture to help with what was were back in that time it may help  look around where the old clothesline was  i have had good luck in places like that and around big trees i have found lots of jar lids but no jars of treasure but its a rush when you dig one layin  flat  search search search  even if you dont find the treasure you talked about i bet you will find something interesting   good luck

Hi Tyler, you might want to try a probe, a thin metal rod to poke in the groung and see if you hit something.

Also look for loose bricks in the fireplace, Might even want to detect the fire place.

Back in a day, people buried mason jars next to stumps, outside their bedroom window, and the garden.

I'd hunt the whole yard and see what you find ! If you find the jar great if not I bet you will find lots of other interesting things! Some chimineys have a ledge built on the inside behind the Mantel.It doesn't take long to check but it probablly will be full of black soot . Good luck !

Look under the master bedroom window, if there's a fence up then look for one oddball fencepost or one of a different color
