Does anyone ever get someone to actually sign these forms? I think it's a little too much if your just searching someones backyard. Searching for a cache or something bigger- I can understand.

At least this way you would have hard documentation incase a "nosy" neighbor called the police thinking you were up to no good.

If searching some one property how do you determine ownership of the find? Is there some sort of split between the two parties?

Usually -when it comes to the actual item found- it's finders keepers. Having said that- The value can be split with the owner of the property. It simply depends on what the item is and the value.

Goldfinger: Thank you for responding. That is what I have been doing in the past. I was just curious what was standard.
