Well..got out to hunt for a bit yesterday with Bucksguy81.  I had found some clad as well as a 44 and 46 wheat.  I had also made some other finds by the end of the hunt.  Other items included the top of a toy or costume ring with the plastic stone still in it, a dog license from 2006, what may or may not be some sort of button and a few other pieces.  Towards the end of the hunt I had an interesting surprise  Pictured below next to a dug quarter for size reference.  Take a look.

Thanks for looking and HH!

I just found the exact same type of bell last week in a yard, right down to the little scroll work done on the bottom half of the bell! Think its maybe a jingle bell or something?

Hello.  First off let me say thanks for your comment.  I hadn't even noticed the scrollwork or anything like that until I noticed your post.  Although somewhat faint there is a design there and while I was looking at it I realized that it did in fact have a sizing number on it and it appears to be a number 8.

On to your question though...These types of bells are known by many names but seem to be more commonly referred to by the hunters as "Crotal" bells.  I was told by another person that they believe the example I have posted to date  to around 150 years old.  Who knows though.

Also here is a link I had passed along to me that you may find interesting.  It contains information about bells such as history, sizing, metal content and more.

I'm not sure exactly how old this one is either as I am by no means an expert on Crotals but was told that it was believed by others to be around 150 years old.
