Go Up Go Down

We had an excellent day for detecting here in central NC, so I walked next door to the old farmhouse on our property. The cars that belonged to the tenants were all gone, so I was able to detect the front parking area, and this is what I found in about 3 hours. 22 lincolns(1wheat), 2 clad quarters, 3 clad dimes, 1 buckle part, two types of fuses, stem part to a percolator basket, VERY small diamond stud earring, and 1 brass button from a WWI uniform. I have a picture of my great uncle, Wiley O'Neal, in his WWI uniform. The button is from his WWI infantry uniform. He lived in the house until the early 80s. I don't have the picture framed yet(I've got to find it), but plan to have it framed with the button attached. Nice piece of family history that turned up. My granddaughter(5) was with me when I found it.

Where in NC are you?
I hunted near Benntonville 6 years ago..after the reenactment..then moved over to "Hoke Trench" south of Wilmington...found a live 20 lbs Parrott shell there..disarmed it myself and brought it home to Ontario.

I also hunted some property owned by a friend just South of Kinston..found over 30 bullets,,,mostly Enfields and Gardners in about 20 mins..as weill as percussion caps..a couple of Federal buttons ect.
Can't wait to get back down there..and I love the BBQ!!!! and Hush Puppies.
