Thanks, I got a lot of pictures to post from when I started detecting last year, it will take me a while. Most of my finds have been from the old fallen in home in Dexter, In . I just want to get posted what i have found so far so I only have new things to post as I find them.

Thanks for the comment, and yes I love history. Their is nothing like pulling something out of the ground and trying to get as close to the past by trying to research were it came from or who might have possibly dropped it or tossed it out! Sometimes I think, man was they upset when they dropped that coin back then because what that would have bought them at that time. Yeah, its awsome!

Thanks for the reply, I was surprised to find them In Dexter, In. But if you think about it, Morgans raid wasnt to,too far from this area. They probably belonged to a home soldier! Detecting

I found a button just like yours here in Ca. It is a symmetrical spread eagle, lined shield button 1847 to 1880. Mine i believe is a cuff button the one you have looks to be bigger than mine. On the back it says Scoville Mfg co Waterbury. I found it in Southern California, Mission Viejo area. Within 10 feet of the button I found a rim fire bullet that was unfired. These are my most exciting finds. You look like you have found a lot of great stuff, thanks for sharing.
