My uncle and me found this medallion at an old farmsite, we tried doing some research but couldnt come up with any info..So any ideas???

whats it made of,looks like Aluminium,it has oxide on the back.What makes you think its from 1830 casedaddy?alot of these religious medals have dates on them,I think its some thing to do with when our Lady(holy Mary) has made apperances on earth,Lourdes in France,Fathama in Portugal ect...still nice find,they are a common find here also in Catholic south germany...mike

Well its not aluminum, its heavy, its either silver or white gold... it says 1830 on the front under mary, its hard 2 see in the pic,where should i take it?

 dated 1830. Aprox 1.25 inches x 1 inch. 4.6gr weight. Huh?Huh?Huh???

That's a pretty interesting piece! Now this is just a shot in the dark,but did you ever consider checking out The Masonic Fraternity.There are many symbols within the Masonic "Secret" Society. It's just a guess. Please let me know what you find out!

here are a few that I found,yea for some reason 5 are dated 1830,still I dont know why,there all of diffrent metals even the aluminium ones,the 2 right are gold,as I said there a common find here,I still love finding them
