Thanks!! I am trying to figure out how to the white crust off it.

Seldon I drove the island once and bolivar, but didn't really do any hunting. Stop in front of the San Luis. Mother nature insisted I leave in a hurry and I did not return.

Just seen the link. Thanks Homefire!! Thats pretty neet.

Warm up some Peroxide in the Micro Wave.   No Boiling but hot to touch.

Drop the Beast in and see what happens!   Wise

I am thinking lemon juice would be safer. Have a pic of the coin to show how bad it is? Maybe using ultrasonic cleaner may help too.

I rubbed it with baking soda mud and my finger. It was pretty bad beat up so I really wasn't affraid of hurting it. It is presentable now and I have a crap in my thumb!@!. I am going to have to buy a different camera to take close ups. I will try to get a shot of it on here in the next few minutes.

Oh the '64 dime is the one I found a Stewart Beach a few weeks back. That is exactly how it came out of the sand about 9-11" deep in the volleyball courts.

Thanks John!!

They are not crowded enough for me to want to get out and hunt very much. With the north wind today some of the first valleys were exposed. I hunted one of them about 100yards long. I think I found one pull tab and that was it. Got my shoes wet to hunt that!! That was the only time I got out of the car. I remember about 10 years ago it would take me 2 hours to drive one lap in the "Zoo". I hear it doesn't get that crowded any more, but I will see this summer. There were more people camping against the dunes than I have ever seen, but they didn't appear to be the type to be dropping anything except some change, maybe. Where do they sell those parking stickers at? GCS were patrolling, but didn't bother me for not having one.
