That's a pretty ambitious goal, but you are well on your way. Good luck with your hunting!

Mighty fine mess a coins there you have Hector  Clapp thanks for sharing. Not sure what you mean about the 0 zinc and copper pennys. The rusty steel would of been  zinc coated.

Bottom left are the copper pennies and bottom right are the garbage copper plated zinc ones.
The '41 Merc dime had a rusty round object stuck to it, that I had to assume is a steel war penny.
"O" should have been "of"

Alright!

Keep at it and you might pay it off in your time frame. I've had my Cibola almost 3 months and have $147 in finds.

Very well done Hector. You'll fulfill your goal pretty soon and don't be surprised if you surpass it sooner than expected  Great. Hey just the fun alone pays for it all, don't you agree?

Now, when you refer to the decomposing zincolns as garbage, you may not be too far from the truth. However, given that those pennies are money, one may question what to do with them. I currently have a bag full of them and find it very difficult to just throw them out. I wonder if there is a way to exchange them for new ones with the US Mint without incurring in mailing/shipping expenses. Anyone has any ideas?

YOu can exchange your coins for bills at some grocery stores such as Publix in the U.S. They will have a machine you pour your coins into and it counts them for you and gives you bills, however it usually charges about a 5% transaction fee.
