Definitly the larger one, assuming the beaches you're hunting are not iron infested.

More ground coverage, more finds and deeper. The standard coil of the 250 is not the best garrett ever made.

An accessory SEF coil by detech, 15"x12" is also available.

Beach hunting with larger coils and low frequency MDs (like the ACE) improve the detection of coins and rings, but might lose detection capacities for irregular-shaped or tiny targets.
