Just thought I would show you guys, a friend and I went to a pretty old local park yesterday that has been picked over by detectorists over the years and you wouldnt think much would be left to be found. But, my friend with his E-trac found 34 wheaties and 2 silver dimes. I found with my 305 48 cents in clad and two 1942 walking liberty halfs about 50 yards apart. I now have a new faith in my 305., thanks for reading, Camo

Beautiful coins. Those are some of the prettiest coins ever minted.

Confidence in your 305? More likely it was your growing expertise that did it. Well done.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Thanks for the good words. I agree with you goldigger1950 I guess I am just learning the machine. And yes, it was awesome digging them halves out of the ground, who knows how long they were there. The first one was about an inch away from a screw cap sitting on top of a root from a tree 4 inches deep and the other one was about 7 inches down sitting under a big fat root. It took some time to get that one, I'm glad I didn't give up on it. I cant wait to go back to that park, alot of ground to cover. If I have any more good finds I will let you know.  HH everyone, Camo
