That's quite a cache, especially considering the relative value of the dollar back then.   Just out of curiousity, what are the date ranges?

Hi Dan.....The tarnish is from being down on blue mall (clay) under the sandy beach, scrap iron and salt water.....Have a good one........John in Va..

 Hello John,
I think that is great, the only coins that iv'e been getting is the ones on ebay! Shocked
My husband just had surgery for colon cancer on April 28th. and we have not been active.
I just want to tell everyone that if you have not had a colonsocopy and your 50 or more to
get to the doctor and have one lined up! they are the #1 silent killer.
If my husband had waited for another year, he may not have the great outcome as he
has now. his tumor was the size of a lemon or larger and it was a blessing that the tumor
had not grow out of the colon wall!
I have been getting some great coins on ebay for now, the morgans, peace, 1800's. Have you seen the 1800's paper notes? wow!
We have been just looking from the inside for now, but I hope we are able to go out
west this coming year and dig Pray dig! Pray
I hope you are finding more, we have 2 detectors and we live in Myrtle Beach and we had a real bad storm
last week and that's when those coins will come to the surface.
Thanks for showing the coins, can't wait to dig up some more good coins.
Sharon

She's a lovely lady, Miss Liberty! The first time I found one there were two in the same hole. I remember thinking how much money that was back then. Probably the price of a meal for a family of 4. Sad when you think of it.

That's a fabulous cache of coins, John. You give hope to many out there when you show this kind of find. Congratulations.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.
