Congrats Crassranger on your finds there!
If you're using a PC, I just use MSPaint (Free with Windows). Open up the picture, then press <cntl-W> to resize it. Depending on how many Mega-pixel size your original is, you may need to reduce it down quite a bit. One other way that I use, is to use my 'select' feature.. highlight only the area that I want to keep, and then trim out all the rest by clicking on the 'crop' button then save the file.
