Go Up Go Down

Hit a bean field here in Kansas a couple times and came up with a couple buttons. One I believe is a WW1 era based on my research and the time the land was occupied. I went to a place in town and found two silvers on the first day! One was a 1914 Barber dime, and the other is a Standing Liberty quarter. The date is worn off so not sure of the actual date but my research on this has found that in 1917 there were some changes; one being that stars was added to the reverse under the eagle which I can make out. In 1925 a depression was made on the pedestal on which Liberty stands and that bears the date. On mine it does not appear the pedestal is recessed so I am assuming the date did wear off. To me anyway that puts the coin between 1917 and 1925.  There is quite a bit of black residue caked all over it so probably won't be able to find out much more. On my second trip I came up with three Wheats that coincidentally where 1950, 1951, and 1953. (all D's).

Silver is good no matter what shape it's in.    Huh?

We hardly find any of those quarters around here.
 Nice finds.
 Keep on digging them up.
