Go Up Go Down

Hello I found this buried at about 6" down at the base of one of three cedar trees. It was right side up, closed and there was nothing else near by it. It was all by its lonesome, and it was taped between the top, and bottom, at least it was, at one time. It is roughly 5 inches length by 3 inches width by 3.5 inches deep and it was empty when I found it except for the water that was in it. It was found in an area that, when it rains hard and fast, it looks like a little river. Could this have been a cache of coins, that someone dug up and replaced the box, or someone planting a box of prayers, or wishes, in hopes that they would spring forth in springtime? Could it have held paper money, that disintegrated in the water, over the years? Foiled Again

Cool find It use to be common for cache hunters to rebury the jar, box or Huh?Huh?Huh??  sometimes with a note for the next hunter. Back in the 80's I dug up a fruit jar in Anderson Tx  with a note signed by a well known treasure hunter. Maybe there was a note inside at one time.

Cool Find!

Years ago, I found a Prince Albert's can stashed between some stones in a rock wall.

I'm sure I swallowed my Heart reaching for it.

All it had inside was some more Rust.    LOL!

I think that it was probably planted by another folk. Whoever did it knew the euphoria and adrenalin hike that the prospect of finding a cache of coins causes! It is a good piece though and if it wasn't planted it can be old at least  Undecided
