I have a place off I-10 not far from Deming that you can find Tons of Flakes, Cor stones and a few broken point.

On BLM land you can't dig but service finds are legal.

Nice point Vision! They look very much like points we find around here. Light colored chert rather than flint. It looks like that point may have been a knife blade. What do you think?

This ones messing with me Huh? It may have been a knife (very likely) could have been a Spear tip also though. It isnt ground much if any on the base or hafting area. I imagine its been sharpend down a bit. Thanks! Touch

There is a certain type of bone (deer?) that is used for hafting knives. It has a slot in it that holds the blade. The blade is made with one side duller and narrower than the other and the tang does not line up with the point. I can't tell from your picture but is that what your point looks like?
