Made the most of the great weather here in Minnesota. Even managed to get to the State Fair a couple times...ate like  crazy. Smiley
Found a variety of goodies and a pile of coins.
While my son & I swung thru a local park, I saw him give the old "high fist pump" after he dug at a signal. He was using my Ace and as I watched him walk over, beaming like he'd just found a fortune. He excitedly opened his hand to reveal a pretty diamond ring! His first good ring and even beat me, as I've yet to score a gold/diamond ring!
I outscored him on coinage, and I managed to hit a copper costume jewelry ring, with a red stone, but he won overall with that great ring. Seems we always compete now, who gets the most, who gets the oldest, etc. Lot's of fun!

Have a look at the loot and his 925 ring.
UPDATE:
He had it appraised today and it's not diamonds. They are the cubic zirconium with a 925 silver band. Oh well, still a pretty ring and he's still excited over the find! Great

Nice finds Rich!  Top photo on the right looks like an old Boy Scout neckerchief slide! Awesome find! Would be cool to find out how old it may be. I'll look around and will let you know if I find anything. HH!

 Farmdigger, that is indeed an old Cub Scout slide. Its in great shape, still has the tabs in back,not like the thin, gold-colored ones from today.
Yoda, the pick is only plastic, found it laying in a tot-lot!
Tabdog..yup, the ole man's gotta turn it up a notch! hehehe

Amazing finds capnrich! I know the competition between you and your son just adds sheer delight to the equation. Does anyone in this Forum believe in "intuition" while MD'ing? Seems your boy has a bit of that Wink You may find yourself falling farther and farther behind him as time goes by. But I know you won't mind if he gets the better of you Grin

Nice bunch of finds guys!
Hunting with your son sure must make it a lot more rewarding. Anyone here would be more than happy to dig that ring, whether it was diamonds or CZ's.
