Found a large fragment of a 12" mortar shell we were surprised at its location but still a good find..I think I have an early doggy tag very much like another I found some time ago its a pity the 1859 LC has been pierced .....HH....Johnnn

Nice finds. Your area must have some history .
 My area is too new since it was mostly Spanish land grants and large ranches that eventually split up ,but that was much later.
 Keep on digging them up.
