Go Up Go Down

My friend called the other day and we talked. He said he was throwing stuff out of his attic. I jokingly said is there anything good for me. He said come over and look so I did and found this WW2 Signal Lamp. I researched it alittle and found that it was used by the Paratroopers in the Airborne at night to signal planes as to where the drop zones were. I also seen some pictures of someone using it on D-Day to signal Navy troop carriers from the beach as to where to drop the troops. It has a red lens for night use of course and I used 5 D cell batteries to operate it. It also has 2 sights and a trigger to signal in morse code. Well he gave it to me and I thought I would share it with you. I thought about selling it and put the money towards a new coil.     Well thanks for looking. I hope the pics work.    Steve

Thanks BA. Kinda odd i thought myself. I like it though. He also gave me what looks like 2 juggling pins. They are nice too. I looked them up and some say they are Indian workout clubs. I guess you stretch you arm and back muscles with them.

Steve nice find on the WW2 Signal Lamp's , don't know how much they would be worth. but they are cool.
The juggling pins were used to build upper muscle and portable so u can take with you and work out wherever u are.

Thanks
Karl

Thanks Carl for the info on the pins. I have looked for a price on the Signal Lamp and have seen on auction sites go for anywhere from $88 to $157.

I took it because he said to take it or it was going to the trash. He is a good friend of almost 40 years.
