Go Up Go Down

Hey there guys,

I have beaten up my BH P505 to the point that I will not be hunting much until I get a new detector.  It has given me so many good hours of quiet relaxing hunting that you won't hear me talking badly about the model but it is time for me to get a few inches deeper.   On my last hunt a week or so ago, even though it has a few problems, I did find two things that will share.

The first is a local police badge that might be of some interest to our authorities when I inform them.  The badge number is 10 which makes me wonder about it's age.  It was found on the outskirts of a field located behind out court house building.

The second is one of the many different Mardi Gras doubloons that I've collected over the last couple of years.  This one is especially impressive to me because I see it as the coolest design that I have seen to date.  It's condition put it over the top for me.  Although I do have more impressive pieces that have been given to me over time, I count this one as the best in my collection that I have found hunting.

Those are some nice finds. I'm also interested in the story behind that badge.

Sorry for the late reply but I honestly haven't turned it in yet.  I most certainly will bvut work has kept me away from sun up to twilight most of the days of the week.

It has been a long time since I have logged onto this site due to my favorite detector giving me problems but I have a bead on a really proven classic unit that might be mine soon for an awesome price.  Just the thought of it has me back here just to get pumped up by checking out some recent finds.
