Yes, one of my surface finds today was a chewed up baseball. My first for that. Another find down in the trash pile was an interesting thing you attach to a skill saw and cut metal things (like rebar, pipes, etc) with - that was pinging hard on my Garrett Ace 350 as a solid quarter or 1/2 dollar 6" down! Can slaw of the day was the Classic Coke.

The goodies to the left were a 1996 D Quarter, a 1984 D dime, and five pennies so rough that I couldn't even get dates off them at all. I'll be putting together a video with those finds later hopefully time permitting.

Yesterday was my first Foreign coin find of the year! I was really happy with this one too - 1975 Japan 50 yen coin.  Grin

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

In 1975 that 50 yen could get you a short taxi ride.

Don't think it would get you a Tea any more.  50 Japanese Yen equals
0.4472 US Dollar
