That was $40, not 40c and you are too late. It's been dumped into my coin bucket which is now too heavy to lift by the handle. Last time I tried, the handle separated from the bucket. I might have to put wheels on that thing.

Yes 40 buck's why would you not  take a photo of 40 clam's ,,but the junk you did ? Why ,I do not get it oh well don't break your bucket ok  Grin

I'd love to break the bucket but refuse to kick it. Get my drift?

I photograph the junk at every tot lot I hunt because I send the photo to the local council or groundskeepers. I also send a form with my opinion on the stuff found. It's a Dangerous Materials Assessment Inspection form which lays out the finds for them in a usable way for each playground I clear out. I keep the junk bagged up in case they want the actual material. It helps them keep the playground maintenance focused and helps keep the kids safe from cuts and injury.

It's a public service thing. I keep the coins, turn the jewelry in to police for 6 months (required by law here) and get it back if not claimed. I keep detailed records and re-inspect the parks after two years. Sometimes, the schools in the area contact me to clean out their fenced in playgrounds for them. They pay for this service. Imagine that? Getting paid to detect in a fenced off area that is normally off limits to us? You just gotta love it!

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

I will GD... Wow tabdog.. I see a lot of rusty odd shaped objects... any significant finds? It also looks like you have some very old coins there... or are those bottle caps? Is that a muder weapon I see as well or is that a todlers plastic .38 revolvers... looks like you had a lot of fun and I could imagine your pulse rate as your detector started beeping....

The revolver is a toy.

I do not usually post unless I find something,
so there sure are some finds there.

Here is ones I can see.

I have never been to Europe.

I would love to go diggen with ya.

This may sound odd, but I was detecting in a city park
and discovered that it had been a WW I training camp.

All munitions were supposed to have been removed.
But those fuse timers prove that the job was not
complete. Other, more dangerous rounds have turned
up in other places.

Happy Huntin,

Tabdog

Thanks Mike, I would love to go there. But I am too old and broke.

I forgot to mention that there are few older coins there. Maybe a
few wheaties and some tokens, and that is it.

There are not many places to hunt old coins around here, and the
coins here seldom are older than 1850. I have never found a coin
older than 1889.

You can see what I hunt. Go to my album and see the best of the
stuff I have found in the last two years. That is when I learned to
find stuff and started taking photos of my finds.

Here is my album,
