Teach Hard for me to believe when i didn't treasure hunt i didn't take advantage of certain area's by my house. Ft. Montgomery/FT. Clinton is one of these. Laying right outside of West Point and directly on the Hudson River. This is the Only Spot within 45 miles where there was hand to hand fighting on the mountainside and shores of the hudson. Great chains were set up across the Hudson so British ships would not be able to journey up river from their base of control in NYC. This is the Happy Hunting Grounds of not only American Indians, but us Treasure Hunters.  Detecting Then about 10 years back the Historical Society moved in then the decloration was made for certain areas.  Round About blah blah blah. But along the River there is a streach of land that hugs the entire coast line of the Hudson River that is owned by the various different townships and also the rail road has rights. So this is where i hunted this morning before i ran out of battery power!  Exhausted A few finds, i believe both spikes date around early 1800's, and looks like a modern 1900's horseshoe, and looks like a hammer but isn't.  Clapp Well, hope everyone has a good day, Around noon i am going up to Jean's property were washingtons troops encamped in a part of New Windsor.  Great
