Getting old is fun. Think I do a lot better at a slower rate anyway. Its been fairly nice weather this year so far for me. I would have too much fun wearing a eye patch, my wife is always busting on me about being a pirate. I even play a pirate game online when I dont feel like hunting. But she is the first one to encourage me to get out and hunt.

Our parks here are free to hunt as long as your get a free permit at the parks office. No digging tools, but probing allowed. No ball fields. I have had to modify my hunts to surface scans and probing. But still dig a hole or two every now and then. I made the mistake of buying more than one detector. So getting the right machine and coil selection for the hunt is sometimes a crap out. Looking forward to your recovery and post.

I think I'm going to have to slow down a bit.. this is strange, but my upper right shoulder now hurts for the past couple of days. Like I'd strained a muscle in it or whatever? I'm guessing that it's due to swinging that m/d for many hours recently, and my body just isn't used to that? What do you all think?

Old age does slow one down. I used to detect about 6 hours and now I'll be lucky to hunt 3-4 hours.
Ben Gay days come with age. My detecting buddy calls it " old coots perfume."
