Well went for a short one hour hunt at a small median in a 50's neighborhood.. Turned out a winner!

Got a nice large WWII medal that is sterling. It is about 1.5 by 1.5 inches!

A nice 42' merc

and 3 wheaties... plus a bunch of clad...

Other old items are from a dig from last week at a old home site.

Congrats on the finds!

The medal is a rifle range marksmanship award medal, these are always usually received in Bootcamp and come in at various levels of qualification.
Sterling Silver makes it an older one, as (Uncle Sam) doesn't spend money on medals and badges made of precious metals anymore like he did when things were normal in this country. (He "Uncle Sam" is cheap these days)

Very nice U.S. Army Sharpshooter Badge with Rifle bar (30 to 36 rounds out of 40 on target). That's better than Marksman (23 to 29 rounds out of 40) and not as good as Expert.
