I don't think it is boy scout.  I'm thinking Canadian Royal Regiment   flower-de-luce Huh?

That looks like a tough one. Didn't you find one similar earlier this year?

No MF, I p[osted this with the finds for that day it could be military as the site had a large contingent of both boy scout and military, maybe I'm looking in the wrong place...HH...Johnnn

It Had a pin, I do see some likeness to the Royal Canadain Reg but there are none with a crown, if this is a recent badge it may not have made it to any of the badge forums...HH....Johnnn

That's what I thought but it doesn't fit with the date 1984.. Undecided

This is a tough one. I looked around for quite a while and I can't find anything resembling the crown and the symbol below it. I tried enhancing the image but I still can't make it out. My best guess is something octopus like.

In 1984 New Orleans hosted the worlds fair. Most of the pictures I see have mermaids and such. The Fleur De Lis is a New Orleans thing. Maybe a souvenir pin? Long shot but best I could come up with so far.

The Fleur De Lis is a New Orleans thing.  ** French actually.

It's been adopted in many uses.
