Go Up Go Down

Was in another abandoned house today, and surprisingly, thieves hadn't stolen the copper pipes yet.  Cut enough out to fill one box, and went looking around the house for another.  buried in the back of a closet was this Fujica AX3, complete with strap and a soligor optical zoom lens.  SWEEEET.

There's no such thing as a Abandoned House.  It belongs to someone.   They call that Vandalism and Theft here.  Shocked

@Homefire:  Just to clarify, since you don't know me and are not familiar with my posts here.  I am in the demolition and trash out business, and I am actually paid by the city to empty out these homes and prepare them for demolition.  The houses I go into are indeed abandoned, condemned, and slated for demolition by the city, and not only am I authorized to strip them, but I get paid for it.  It's a great gig, and yields great finds.  Please reserve judgement in the future until you have the facts.

Lighten up right now, Eckstar. You're far too defensive. If you had stated this at the beginning, you would not have been chastised over it. I'm sorry to inform you of this but you are solely responsible for any comments you have received. Nobody on this thread owes you an apology. You, on the other hand, owe them one. In the future, do not withhold information critical to the discussion and then try to backhand it on to the moderators. It is OUR job to bring these things up when we see them. Our JOB. Not something we take lightly.

@Eckstar

Totally 110% with GD had you stated that you are in the demolition business our post to you would have been completely different I personally would have said "Way to go mate" but as you omitted to tell us that you are in the demolition business the original reply to you is totally justified.

Didn't mean to step on anyone's toes, and wasn't asking for an apology.  On the other hand, not going to apologize for defending myself from being publicly called a thief either.  I simply think that, especially as moderators, a little more tact before firing off such a statement might be in order.  also this is a find board, which i've posted on before, not a biography board, not gonna post my occupation or an explanation everytime i post, just as not every poster states at the beginning of their post :  "o.k., So I was LEGALLY hunting on PUBLIC LAND, or on PRIVATE LAND WITH PERMISSION, when I found ..."

See what I mean, guys.  Assume if someone is a member of the TH community, that they have some ethics, and we can all have nice, supportive conversations.  Assume thy're a bad guy from the get-go, and we all waste time and energy on threads like this.  If you do take your "JOB" seriously, then focus on fostering respect and cameraderie, not policework.  Cool?  Now let's move on to something else.

Happy Hunting all.

Rick
