Well , you got lucky. I bet the camera costs a fortune. Check it on the web and maybe put it in ebay or some other online auction... Good luck

@ Hunter. Actually, not worth as much as I'd hoped, camera and lens are worth about $150 in present condition, but that's $150 I didn't have in my pocket at the start of the day. Crazy

Sorry to see the harsh words here. There is a lot of ignorance involved with our hobbies that sometimes has to be addressed. It is good to see that you are not one of the ignorant ones though. Heck, I have learned a little bit about proper manners from them a few times.

I have a friend in construction that gives me the occasional scoop on spots to hunt before their demolition with owner's approval. I have only hit one of them thus far but I have high hopes.

I have also been developing old film lately from the fiance's old cannon camera. My next digital camera is going to have to be capable of using a 35mm lens so that my nice cannon lens does not get lost in storage till it is an official antique. Perhaps you have one such lens worthy of keeping there. I would certainly look into that lens if I were you sir.

I don't know about you guys but I really lament the passing of film cameras. It seems like they are vanishing in the blink of an eye. I miss the richness of the medium. I also feel very guilty about embracing the digital world so easily.

That was such a nice camera you found there. Seriously. A mere 10 years ago and you could have gotten more than $1000 for it easily.

The thing is that with the digital camera you have an instant result meaning that if you messed up you can (at most times) take another photo also you are not limited to 36 exposures and the cost is so much lower that it's now much more fun to take photos and more accessible to every one. It did take me a while to get used to this freedom of photography but like you said it was a rich medium.
