I suggest you check the specific gravity.   If you're not sure of the procedure this will help

( I suspect you're looking at melted aluminum, but I've been wrong before---hopefully I'm wrong again)

Silver in Nugget like gold form is most rare.

You give no indication of the weight of the thing.

It looks like a fire blurked beer can to me.

Silver can be confirmed with good old Selsun Blue Shampoo!

It turns anything with significant silver content the most cool Cobalt Blue.  Sulfides it real fast, and can be recleaned with the touch of aluminum foil and some salt.

Waiting for your Report:

 Great

Looks like melted aluminum. Can you weigh it?

 Shocked

I learned that one by mistake one day.

I had a 1/4 silver ingot on a chain and used the stuff.

Looking in the Mirror, I fund my chain and Ingot had transformed to the most cool blue color.

I cleaned it up and put some shampoo on it.

Bammmmmmm!

Blue again.

Have Fun.   Great

I'd be surprised if that was silver.  I grew up in a silver/copper mining region and the silver nuggets we typically found were mixed with copper and rock.

I have found quite a few clumps of melted silver at old plantation sites. When recovered from the dirt you will see shiny places, crevices fill with dirt. They have significant weight and are very hard.
