Whatever happened to this thread? Was it silver, aluminum, or lead or what? dfxwalt has left us wondering without an answer.  Cry

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.

If it was silver he would have been back...no that's just a piece of aluminum that melted in a fire, I found a few just like it in SA

You are probably right Xavier, but I guess we will never know 100%. Not very polite to leave everyone hanging.

Grin Grin yes but you'll get use to it after a while, a lot of people come here for some info then disappear, he'll probably be back some day with a new query. We had member that was with us for a few months and when his project was finished and working we hardly ever heard from him again.

Well it's not really that he was being impolite. Like many, the only thing on his mind was whether he found precious metal or not. He may have signed up just to ask that one question. I myself come and go, because I have so many irons in the fire that I just can't park on any one website. I've been in and out for years and have even had to create new accounts after losing the passwords or changing web providers. Maybe oneday he'll come back and read through the whole string and then he'll let everyone know. I'm almost positive though that it was not silver.

When conversing in a tread, asking for help then not giving any feed back or a thank you is considered impolite, it's a bit like not closing the door behind you. Coming and going is not an issue at all, lots of our members do it.
