I think that he dose not know how to get involved in a discussion and probably wants to have enough posts to go to the download area so he will post the same comment on all the posts that he comes by till he has access to what he wants. Pity for him as he is the one that will lose out in the end.

Bad news Pgill, Not only did I discover it was made in china. I scratched it and found out it is made of brass. No no! how embarrassed Exhausted I am.  I guess you can have it now. I'll send it to you if you want it but I'm going to scrape the gold plating off first. I've decided if I can't find gold any other way I will start a gold scraping pile in my junk box.  Funny

Good point there. That just isn't going to happen!!! I can smell the gold before I dig it out.  Went out today to try out my repaired Fisher F75 and came back with more gold.  Angel  A golden bear. Before you laugh look very closely at it and you will see that it has a slight gold color around the edges. The plating is mostly worn off but it is shiny on the back. probably silver. Weighs about 20 g.

The F75 worked like a charm. This place I went I have "hunted out" that is I dug every coin-like target. Today I dug for 45 minutes and this is what I came up with. Its almost like I hadn't hunted it at all. The Clad ranges from 1957 to 1983. 1964 is when the silver went away here.  Most of the items came from about 25.4 cm , 10 inches. some of the junk was deeper. I went around the place just before I left and identified a dozen more loud coin type signals. Can't wait to get back and dig them. !

nice collection there Gambol .. looks like the bear you found is an early Care Bear (Funshine) with that yellow gem/stone (looks like Citrine) in the middle like that and yellow/gold plating.. possibly made by a jeweler .. possibly a one off .. not seen many like that around ... might be worth something  Kiss
