yes i would recommend the F2  i got the kit with the 4 and 8 inch coil and pointer for $215 along with a 5 yr warranty   they now have came out with a bigger coil as well but i need to find more money to get one of them . i started out withe 4 inch till i got used to it . i now have been using the 8 inch  but in trashy areas i go back to the 4   dont have a single complaint  i have found relics a bayonette M1 type and spoons a little silver some targets down to 9 inches or so and quite a bit of clad since i got mine . got the most for my money and i am pleased with my machine .i have dug in some sand but not at the beach so havent been able to put it through its paces in that enviroment  but hope to . i have to stress what alot of the good diggers in here have told me and i agree with entirely is its not the machine you have but how well you can make it work or use it  so keep that in mind .
