Go Up Go Down

Banner day for me in the park today guys. My first large haul. 113 pennies,  2 nickles, 12 dimes,  5 quarters and 2 wheat pennies. I found a park I had not been to before Sunday and tested it. It's a 2 acre park with 6 Ramadas and 45 picnic tables spread out all over the park. I went to 10 of the tables yesterday and found about 50 coins. I went back today and spent 9 hours detecting the rest. Anyone got a wheelchair? I am bushed.

169 holes and counting. Had you not covered your tracks the park would of ended up looking plowed!  Great job Carl.  Great   About 4 hours is my limit. I guess if I would get out of bed before noon that could change?

Thanks for the cheers guys. About the only bad thing about finding so many coins is they are not worth much till you clean them.  Cry  But once it's done, I'm back out there digging more of them dirty little buggers up. Shocked. Back to square one. Repeat.

Same here. Until they make 1 and 2 cent coins redundant and introduce $1  dollar coin 25mm diameter and $2 dollars coin 20mm diameter. Clapp
Now we are waiting for the introduction of the $5 dollar coin. Wink
We recommend that should be made of copper and its size should be 22mm  Kiss

Hope that works out for you Nickel. I would like to see our government work on ways to reduce minting costs like continuously changing what the coinage looks like. Get a design, stick with it, and stop wasting large sums of money on new designs and humongous amounts more to designers. Then maybe we could start putting silver and gold back in the coinage. This would make the coins last longer, instead of rotting away in the park, not worth anything. Nobody (except maybe me) will bend over to pick up a coin these days. Not even a quarter.
