Nice finds, Sandfisher!  What's the thing on the right that looks like a Japanese sword hilt, although much smaller?  Thanks for sharing.   Detecting

Hey ArfieBoy, That is what it is, the hilt and handle of a miniature Samurai sword.

Maybe it was a collector piece, or a letter opener.

Hey chopz, no, in order the coins are.... quarters, dimes, nickels, pennies.

I did find a dollar coin once, about three weeks ago.

To see the pictures better click on them, they enlarge and it's much easier to make out what things are.

Thanks DW,

I was using a Silver Sabre, (1983 vintage), while my Fisher was out for service.

It really does a great job of finding stuff, I'll post more of what I found with it in this thread later tonight.

I did go out with my Fisher, (1235X),  last night, it did well! , it's the first time I have ever used an elliptical coil.

Here is what I found with the 5"x10" elliptical.

Some coins, a hot wheels car, a house key, a pair of pad lock keys, a heart shaped charm, a heart shaped pin, a Chucky Cheese token, and some junk.
