Hey Tyler,
To answer your post most of the coins were found in a couple of parks just south of  me. The town I live in was started in 1887 and the next  town south began in 1834 its called a old border town . Do  some  research of your area, I bet  there is a treasure just waiting for you to find it.

        Good Luck

Rider   i dont think anyone on a consistent basis finds a lot of silver dollars.  out of the three river pirate caches  i found in over 20 years,  one  had 31 silver dollars in it .  i have never found  a silver dollar when just coinhunting.  someday maybe, you never know!!

Rider 1700 s thru the early 1800 s,  .  i concetrate on the ohio side between parkersburg,WV and  Gallipolis, Ohio. it makes no difference  where you live if you live by a major river. this  pirate activity was very common.  thousands of caches are up&down the rivers.  look for streams& small rivers that empty into the main river. there are so many caves and rock bluffs all over these areas.  use at least a 12" coil.  in twenty years iv only found three ... but it was well worth the effort.  two were small caches and the other was excellent.

Rider  i do not have one of those computer cameras.  there was some jewlery from one cache around 1987  .  i kept some pieces of that.  the blennerhassett island treasure is what im researching now.  he was to have buried  a good amount of gold before his arrest.  i had a heart attack in 2007 and am just now getting back in the groove of things.  i was a long haul owner  operator truck driver . poor diet , lack of excercise  finally caught up with me.  i was very lucky and beat the odds.  if you research a cache and locate it, dont advertise it to others too much. the  IRS is always looking for "unearned" income non-disclosure!!
