Bounty Hunter - Fortune Hunter Digital
« on: August 12, 2009, 03:39:01 pm »
Go Up Go Down

Well, i got my "Bounty Hunter Fortune Finder" this week, i had to clean it up because previous owner seemed to have a bad habit of smoking pot or such Tongue, the smell was terrible but it looked almost new.

Well, decided to try the MD out, went to the local schoolyard, i got notified immediately, after a little digging i found a part of a suspender clip, well, i was looking and looking, got several crap items like a part of a razor, pieces of glass, steel wire, some sort of metal clasp,  and other small stuff.

It was quite hard to pinpoint the objects so i dug a hole, let the send up in a solar shape pile ant did a cake cutting of the pile and re detected the different V shape areas, worked out quite fine.

Well, the only valuable find was a 2002, 50 ?re coin, but hell, it was fun!

I have now bought a pin pointer, Scanmaster DTS pro pinpointer to make the locating of small metal objects faster and easier when digging.

Also wondering if anyone uses composite digging tools since the can be used combined with the probe or the detector to see if the scoop contains any metal findings.

Congrats on the new locator!
As for the composite digging tools, I tried the composite hand  trowels and broke 2 of them. I still like my steel hand trowel. The times that the target was in the trowel is so minimal for me, after using the pinpointer, if I still can't find it...there it is, laying on the trowel!
Happy hunting!

The composite tools don't hold up to prying an object from its grave. Digging straight down is fine and so is scooping. You can hold it to the back of your coil to see if the object is in the scoop. Quite handy, that.

Thanks for the advices.

I must get myself headphones now, since it?s not allowed to use a metal detector without a permit in Sweden, even in my own back yard, but hey, what would the say when i?m actually cleaning up the schoolyard... The sound from the MD attracted to much attention for comfort.

I?ll try to visit the local beach tomorrow and see if there?s any gold or silver waiting for me there.
Longing for that pinpointer!
