Lost my internet connection for two days, but back on line again, lots of frozen ground still in the woods had to work around the snow patches but a very nice spring day and some interesting finds.
Ladies Victorian hat pin and a old dog whistle a souvenir ring from Niagara Falls a dog chain which looks pretty nasty to me second one I have found in the area bunch of coins an old railway token "good for one 7 1/2 cent ride" a large hook and a whole bunch of live blanks .303 dated 1943, a fragment of an 1812 button with thread still attached.
The whistle has a patent number on it......45482 does anyone know how to find out more about this whistle??.......HH....Johnnn

Wow, Johnnn!  Great finds for the first day out!  Congrats!   Great

Try looking up on google (or whatever search engine you use) for that patent number.   Good luck!

Hi Johnnn I have found a search engine for your patent however it comes up with a machine counting device, please have another look at the number and try it out on this link.

Johnnn, great to see you back in action, with your usual interesting collection.   The dog collar looks like it was for a "guard" dog of some sort.   They tell they aren't as bad as they look, but aren't something I would put on my own dogs.
